Catholic Fatherhood: Homeschooling

Homeschooling

The recent comments by the Democratic candidate for the Governor of Virginia, and seconded by the Administration in the White House, were abhorrent and transmitted straight out of 1917 Bolshevik Russia. It remains mindboggling that both asserted that the State’s public school system has the primary responsibility and role in the education of America’s children. Moreover, it was claimed, more so by the Virginia candidate, while the Biden official was stumbling over his carefully chosen words before Congress, that parents had no right to interfere with or even know what is being taught to their children.

We have seen this Communism before; and the public school system has been one of the strongest institutions to help push the Socialist State's agenda and ideologies onto children. It is the time that parents take back their primary duty, as gifted by God through their vocations as mothers and fathers, and directly manage the education of their children. Pull your children out of public school and homeschool.

For over a century, the public school system has been a tool to indoctrinate children and the next generation of workers, citizens, and voters. Before the mid-twentieth century, the majority of children were educated by their mothers and the home or by the church and some type of parochial or private school. State managed education did not deliver progress; The economic and technological advancement of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries were well on their way before the widespread influence of the public school system. The advancements of the first and second industrial revolutions, steam, coal, steel, gas, electricity, railroads, Telegraph, radio, etc., all predate the major political push for state run education. The rapid growth of the industrial working class, which would develop into the middle class, came to existence through hard work, dedication, and through education of the home, the church, and Christian private schools.

To infiltrate the universities, the free Masonic lodges established secret societies and the first Greek letter societies in fraternities all through the 1800s. By 1901, “40 college fraternities have been founded,” and by 1956 “there were 3,095 active fraternity chapters on 349 college and university campuses in the United States and Canada.” Multiple freemasonic historians boast about the achievement and claimed that many “college professors an administrator encouraging such activity we're free Masons.” (H. Paul Jeffers, The Freemasons in America: Inside the Secret Society, Citadel Press, New York, NY, 2006, pp. 151-159). With universities in colleges under their influence,

“American freemasonry,” after the First World War, “begin lobbying the federal government for federally funded public schools,” which was also lobbied through state legislatures. “In 1920, the Supreme Council Southern Jurisdiction, United States of America, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, declared itself in favor of the creation of a Department of Education with a secretary in the president’s cabinet,” furthermore, “the Masonic historian Albert G. Mackey credited the Scottish Rite for “the passage of a federal education bill that embodied the principle of federal aid to the public schools in order to provide funds for the equalization of education opportunities to the children of the nation.” The goal was to make public “schools so efficient” that their superiority over all other [parochial] schools shall be so obvious’ that every parent will have to send his children to public schools.” (I bid, p. III).

Masonically backed federal funding for public schools was one thing, but the end goal to destroy “prejudices” (i.e., Christianity) is another. “Thirty-third-degree Mason Earl Warren (future U.S. Chief Justice) was Grand Master of the Grand lodge of California” and stated in an annual address in 1936 that “the education of our youth can best be done, indeed it can only be done, by a system of free public education… it is for this reason that the Grand Lodge of California, ever striving as it does to replace the darkness with light, is so vitally interested in the public schools of our state” in order to “destroy prejudices and plant reason in its place” to build “the foundation of liberty-loving people for free government.” (I bid. P. 111-112). Free from what and whom? The Catholic church and God, to he most precise.

As the revolutionary underground progressed from Freemasonry to Jacobinism through the French Revolution, then to Marxism through the 1848 Revolutions, and then to Socialism and Communism through the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, the same desire to control education remained. During the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, all children and women were made property of the State. After birth, many children were “placed in” an institution entrusted with their care and education” where they remained until the “completion [of] their instruction and education at the expense of the national fund until they reach[ed] the age of seventeen.” (W. Clean Skovsen the Naked Communist: Exposing Communism and Restoring Freedom, Izzard Ink Publishing Company, Salt Lake City, Utah, 1958, p. 98). The very same “Matrimonial Codes of 1918 and 1927” that affirmed that “all children belong to the State” in the Soviet Union, declared that “the state was to take charge of the education of the children.” (Fulton J. Sheen, Communism and the Conscience of the West, Refuge of Sinners Publishing, Pekin, Indiana, 2020, p.141).

But, Russia was not the only place enacting such policies; in fact, many Socialist governments were. The State of Oregon attempted to outlaw private schools and mandate all children go to public schools; they did not prevail. President Calles, o the revolutionary Mexican government, asserted that the “young must belong t the Revolution,” and that it was “selfish doctrine” to believe that “children belong to the home and the youth to the family.” (Most Rev. Francis Clement Kelly, Blood-Drenched Altars: A Catholic Commentary on the History of Mexico, Tan Books and Publishers, Inc., Rockford, Illinois, 1935, p. 349). Bella Dodd, who later became legislative representative to New York or the American Communist Party, testified to the U.S. House of Representatives how the American Federation of Labor (A.F. of L.) and its American Federation of Teachers, which she also represented, were controlled by many dues paying members and convert underground agents of the party. Like many labor and trade unions across the United States, the American Federation of Teachers was a front organization for the Communist Party and Comintern (Communist International) in Moscow. (Bella V. Dodd, School of Darkness, Angelico Press, Kettering, OH, 2017). Moreover, the head of the American Federation of Teachers, the Socialist John Dewey, believed that public education [was] the fundamental method of social progress and reform.” (Verne P. Kaub, Communist-Socialist Propaganda in American Schools, Mendor Publishing Company, Boston, MA, 1953, pp. 153-154).

Pope Pius XI, in his encyclical Divini Reddemtoris, wrote on the Socialist and Communist war on the family and how “the right of education is denied to parents, for it is conceived as the exclusive prerogative of the community, and whose name and by whose mandate alone parents may exercise this right.” That is what we are witnessing in society today, a continuation of the same revolution that has been waged since the Reign of Terror in Paris. If you have yet to pull your children from public school, do so immediately. Those institutions are not schools, albeit indoctrination mills to produce the next generation of children who are numb to the detrimental effects of Socialism. If your children are in a private school, do your thorough investigation on the curriculum, the teachers, and school administration, but seek authentically Catholic means to educate. If your children are in a Catholic school, great, but don't take that for granted. Many Catholic schools are “Catholic” in name only and have become some of the largest producers of Socialist propaganda and misinformation. If you're unable to find a traditionally authentic Catholic school for your children, then make a sacrifice in home school. It will be tough for any family and parent, which is why it would be a tremendous sacrifice. But one, that may save the lives, happiness, and eternal souls of your children. Pray on it.
