False Catholic AOC and the Left's Continued Attack on Catholicism; this time the sacrifice of St

Stoking race tensions in the United States was only a stepping stone to attack Catholicism. The recent call from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self proclaimed Catholic, to remove Hawaii's statue of St. Damien of Molokai in the U.S. Capitol, erroneously attacks it as a symbol of colonialism and "patriarchy and white supremacist culture."
The rhetoric couldn't be farther from the truth, and has quickly been met with resistance from Hawaiian Catholics and the renown Bishop Robert Barron, who illustrated the sacrifices that St. Damien made to minister and care for the leper colony abandoned on the island of Molokai. In fact, the call from AOC is a direct attack on his sacrifice.
After 11 years of caring for the sick and dying, St. Damien contracted the horrible disease and succumbed to the illness. For his sacrifices and many acts of love and charity, St. Damien is greatly revered by the faithful in Hawaii.
In an interview to Catholic News Agency, Dallas Carter, a native Hawaiian and catechist for the diocese of Honolulu, proclaimed that "any Hawaiian here who is aware of their history--which most Hawaiians are--would absolutely, Catholic or not, defend the legacy of Damien as a man who was embraced by the people, and who is a hero to us because of his love for the Hawaiian people." Carter went further to say that “we did not judge him by the color of his skin. We judged him by the love that he had for our people."
AOC and socialist Democrats don't represent the beliefs and opinions of the vast majority of Americans and Catholics. And yet, they falsely claim to be Catholics and liberal media, like National Catholic Reporter, heralds them for being the "future of the Catholic Church."
It's not a coincidence that some of the most marxist and politically toxic leaders in government are self proclaimed Catholics. These politicians are products of a Catholic Church that became silent on its teachings and neutered itself from the responsibility of being the voice of virtuous reason and the leader for good in the world. Unfortunately, they are also tools to weaken the Catholic defense against an atheistic, secular, and marxist government.
The strategists pulling the socialist strings know that Catholics are the enemy to their schemes and plans for usury and revolution.
Political support for Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+, divisive and anti-American rhetoric from AOC and company, and Nancy Pelosi's removal of "In God We Trust" from the House Chamber and "So Help You God" from oaths of office, are all means to an end. The end is communism, and the means is the decay of Christian values in America.
If socialists can keep the American people distracted with COVID-19, BLM protests, and Antifa riots, they can slowly dismantle our public displays of faith (statues and churches) and our constitutional rights of religion, speech, and self defense. Consequently, if the distractions are most effective, they might figure out how to steal the general election from the silent majority.
Sad to say, but Christopher Columbus, St. Junipero Serra, and St. Damien of Molokai are only the beginning.
