Clerical Omission is a Serious Commission

NEGLIGENCE is a major evil of our time that has taken its toll on humanity. We normally think of evil as a vicious act that hurts others, but many priests today have forgotten that neglecting to do good (and to restore the Church) is just as serious as doing bad.
Let us not forget Christ’s pledge to condemn negligence at his Second Coming. To the negligent he will say:
“Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me.” (Mt. 25:41-43)
Christ here speaks of the sins of omission, which are prevalent today among the Catholic hierarchy. This is especially said with regard to spiritual guidance. The clergy are bound to rescue their flock from the plague of modernist poison, but instead they ride the modernist crest to the detriment of their flock. What fills their pocketbook or gives them worldly comfort is all that seems to matter to them. They silence their lips in fear and then call it “obedience,” which is false obedience.
The revelations of Our Lady of the Roses at Bayside have been particularly outspoken about clerical negligence. On March 18, 1977, she told the clergy:
“If you know in your hearts, O pastors, that souls are in danger of being corrupted, misled, and even destroyed, and you do nothing about it because you do not wish to offend your superiors, because you value your life in this world too much and your good living; I assure you, O pastors, you shall stand before My Son and He shall not know you.”
On November 20, 1979, the Blessed Virgin said:
“I ask you not to remain silent when you meet with wrongdoing, but to speak out and act to correct a situation that is offensive to your God and destructive to your soul.”
Consider also this except from Her Divine Son.
"No man shall use the excuse before Me that he was directed by another to sin in obedience! And who are you obedient to—satan or your God? Shall you follow a man who has now been taken in by satan and used as an emissary of hell? Is this the type of leader for your children? I repeat Myself: chase the rodents from My House! Many mitres shall fall into hell!" (March 18, 1977)
Catholic priests have a grave responsibility to speak out against bishops who are using their rank to destroy the Church. Unfortunately, priests today are more concerned about avoiding reprisals from their superiors, so they remain silent forgetting that silence in the face of wrongdoing makes one an accomplice to crime. As they say, “silence is complicity.”
Good Clergy Are Being Persecuted
Those few Catholic bishops and priests who have had the courage and good will to expose the wrongs in the Vatican have been defrocked and even excommunicated. However, these good clergy should not take Rome’s assault seriously but should count their blessings that God has graced them to be white martyrs. For obvious reasons, their excommunications are invalid.
Prolife champion Fr. Frank Pavone, Bishop Strickland, and Archbishop Vigano are examples of modern-day heroes who have been the victims of pontifical envy. These clerics have done absolutely nothing wrong but have done everything right, for which reason they’ve been punished before the Church while criminal clergy like LGBTQ advocate Fr. James Martin and queer mongers Cardinals Cupich and McElroy have been appointed to the highest positions in the Church.
Fr. Pavone was defrocked in November 2022 because he was asked by his bishop and Pope Francis to discontinue his prolife work as the head of “Priests for Life.” Naturally, he wasn’t about to do this since he knew full well that the antilife forces were behind this and that his duty was to save the unborn from the evil of abortion. Like Strickland and Vigano who spoke out against wrongs in the Church, Pavone he wasn’t about to deny Christ just to make heretics happy, so he was smeared before the Church.
What is deplorable is that Fr. Pavone wasn’t even allowed to say Mass for his mother who passed away on December 15. Apostolic Nuncio Christophe Pierre refused Pavone’s request to say the Mass in a move widely believed to be a punishment for his stance on abortion. His position on abortion was the opposite of that of Francis who welcomed abortionists and population control experts into the Vatican.
But in spite of the malignment he received, Pavone continues to save innocent babies from the tyranny of abortion while Rome continues to laud feminists who promote abortion.
Let us not forget how Francis awarded Dutch politician and radical abortion advocate Lillian Ploumen with the prestigious Order of St. Gregory Award in June 2017 just as she had finished raising $300 million for Planned Parenthood. The money was raised so that this abortion agency could continue more effectively in its work to murder the unborn in abortion.
How many priests spoke out against this crime? The bishops were silent while the “Catholic” media explained it away as normal church “protocol.”
“What will they do, when the Lord shall begin to examine?” (Ecc. 2:17)
