The Second Vatican Council was a historic and unforeseen upheaval that set into motion an era of revolution and change that would eventually lead into the great Apostasy of the last times.

However, what made this revolution unique was that it was advanced under the illusion of divine guidance so that a new era of libertine merry-making with the eventual promotion of homosexuality would be seen as the work of God. In reality, it was the work of infiltrated Freemasons who sought to warp man’s conception of Christ and his Church.

It was for reason that the Freemasonic Cardinal Suenens said:

“Vatican II is the French Revolution of the Church”

While the Second Vatican Council played a major role in diverting the course of Church history, it’s important to note that this progressivist design did not begin at Vatican II but was in the works long before the Council. It was primarily for this reason that the popes prior to John XXIII were wary of convening an ecumenical council, seeing that such a move could open the door to infiltration.

It is no secret that Masonic and Communist infiltrators in no small number were already holding key positions in the Church during the fifties, but their activity was greatly restricted because ecclesiastical discipline was in force and because the communist world as yet had not been provided with a forum to present its radical ideas to the Church. We might say that the agents of the anti-church were lying in wait, but Vatican II was what hatched them forth, which is why their plan to unite the Church with the world materialized so effectively after the Council.

Moreover, the Council served as a breeding ground for new agents. Initially, it was a core group of European periti that orchestrated the discord and got the fuse of revolution burning at the Council, but within a short time the majority of the Council was burning with their flame. The conservative Bishop Adrian of Nashville relates:

“As the Council developed, some of the originally somnolent American bishops, catching fire from their alert European colleagues, became the able engineers of liberal proposals, going beyond the Europeans in ferocious, vituperative attacks on the Roman Curia.”

These able engineers were assisted by members of other religions. The major downfall of the Council was that it opened its doors and allowed outsiders and ecumenical bodies to participate, and it was these secular agents that had a hand in drafting the documents of Vatican II.

Radical Changes Not From the Popes

It is important to point out that the progressivists that sowed the discord at the Council were not the popes, but those who undermined the popes. Their objective was to hijack ship and navigate it to secular shores.

The prospective vision of the conciliar elite was the unification of all religions, an epoch foreshadowed in the writings of nineteenth century Freemason and excommunicated priest, Canon Roca (1830-1893), who spoke of the coming “new church” that would not retain “the original form of the former Church, [but] will nevertheless receive consecration and canonical jurisdiction from Rome.”

Canon Roca predicted that:

“The liturgy, ceremonial, ritual and regulations of the Roman Church will shortly undergo a transformation at an ecumenical council" in a move “to deprive the Church of its supernatural character, to amalgamate it with the world, to interweave the denominations ecumenically instead of letting them run side by side as separate confessions, and thus to pave the way for a standard world religion in the centralized world state.” 1

New Liturgy Set the Stage for a New World Order

Canon Roca speaks of a New World Order to come (Novus Ordo Seclorum), which would war against the Order of Tradition. The Second Vatican Council was an opening for this Masonic thread to weave itself into the Church’s fabric and cloak the Mystical Body with a new garb. Though the Council was started with the best of resolves, the storm of conspiracy rushed in, causing the pope to eventually cry out that “from some fissure the smoke of satan entered into the temple of God.”  (Paul VI, June 29, 1972)

The September 26, 1964, Vatican II Instruction Inter Oecuminici, article 91, states:

The main altar should preferably be freestanding, to permit walking around it

and celebration facing the people

What this has fostered is a spirit of betrayal where the faithful are tempted to turn their back on God and turn to one another instead (humanism). In 1933, the future Pope Pius XII upon being presented with the Third Secret of Fatima, said:

A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God.

A New Church of Man

Today’s Church indeed is being led by the demonic temptation to build a new church of man. Approved and beatified mystic Ann Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824) was given many visions and insights about this new secular church that would grow out of the Second Vatican Council.

“I saw a strange church being built against every rule… No angels were supervising the building operations.” (Sept. 12, 1820) “I saw that many pastors allowed themselves to be taken up with ideas that were dangerous to the Church. They were building a great, strange, and extravagant Church. Everyone was to be admitted in it in order to be united and have equal rights…. They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, and all denominations.” (April 22, 1823)

Suffice to say, Vatican II secularized the Church’s teachings and liturgy, which in turn opened the door to all manner of error that has led the Church into apostasy. We see the novel themes of the Council rapidly coming to fruition, especially the themes of lay empowerment, feminist rights, ecumenism, and liturgical enculturation. Clearly these modernist ideas testify to a problem with the conciliar documents wherein they have their foundation.

If we have lay people today assuming priestly functions as “Eucharistic ministers,” it’s because Vatican II defined the laity as a “common priesthood.” (LG 10) If the Church today dignifies other religions, it’s because the Council says that “Christ has not refrained from using them as means of salvation.” (UR-3)

The manifold errors in the Vatican II documents are so blatant that it is mind-boggling that most clergy don’t see this. The conciliar document Nostra Aetate, which was penned by homosexual ex-priest, Gregory Baum, is a glaring testament to the heresy taught by Vatican II. For instance, the document says:

“Muslims adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth, who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God.… They value the moral life and worship God. (3)

Did the Council fathers forget the Quran’s teaching that Christ is not the Son of God? Had they considered its barbaric teaching that anyone who is not Muslim should be slain? Christ, whose divinity the Quran rejects, is the only True God “who has spoken to men,” so do we “misinterpret” Nostra Aetate by alleging that it dignifies an idolatrous religion? No, we do not.

Nostra Aetate also dignifies Hinduism, an idolatrous and superstitious religion that exists outside of God, and which holds in veneration various plants and animals. Hinduism neither knows nor calls upon the true God, yet Nostra Aetate affirms:

“In Hinduism men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through the unspent fruitfulness of myths and through searching philosophical inquiry. They seek release from the anguish of our condition through ascetical practices and deep meditation or a loving, trusting flight towards God” (n. 2).

The New Conciliar Definition of the Priesthood

With Vatican II came the new definition of the priesthood as The People of God. It sees the whole Church as one priesthood but in different ranks, with the ordained priesthood being only one rank thereof. “The people of God is not only an assembly of various peoples, but in itself is made up of different ranks.” (Lumen Gentium 13) What is promoted here is the fallacy that we are all priests of one hierarchy.

The common priesthood of the faithful and the ministerial priesthood are nonetheless ordered one to another; each in its own proper way shares in the one priesthood of Christ. (LG-10)

For the record, there is no such thing as a “common priesthood of the faithful.” That was Luther's idea. What we are seeing today is the Leninist “clenched fist” being applied in an ecclesial context. The Blessed Virgin at Fatima warned that the errors of Communism would enter the Church, and Communist infiltrators indeed were at the Council promoting their errors including the error that baptized Catholics who fall away into other religions are still members of Christ’s Church.

The differences that exist in varying degrees between them [separated brethren] and the Catholic Church … do indeed create many obstacles … But even in spite of them it remains true that all who have been justified by faith in Baptism are members of Christ's body. [UR-3]

This contravenes the encyclical letter of Pope Pius XII which dogmatically defined that only those who are baptized and who profess the One True Catholic Faith are included as members of Christ’s Church.

Only those are to be included as members of the Church who have been baptized and profess the true faith, and who have not been so unfortunate as to separate themselves from the unity of the Body, or been excluded by legitimate authority for grave faults committed. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis, 1943)

48-60 years after the close of Vatican II, we saw the reign of Pope Francis who abetted the globalist cause of a borderless one-world government and who went so far as to say that the political issue of migration was no less important than abortion. He said that helping “victims” of “every form of rejection,” e.g. homosexuals, Jihad migrants, is just as important as defending the unborn. (Gaudete et Exsultate, 102)

Francis Epitomized the Council

What is noteworthy is that Francis—who abetted anti-life forces, betrayed the Chinese underground Church, sacked loyal priests, empowered homosexuals, rewarded abortionists, praised Luther, blessed adultery and homosexuality, and denied dogma—was the embodiment of Vatican II. Some have dubbed him “Vatican II incarnate.” He ardently upheld the Council’s progressivist plan for change, even citing this as  “magisterial,” and said that it is “the forces of evil” that “induce us not to change.” (Gaudete et Exsultate)

In the spirit of the Council, he taught oneness with the environment, not oneness with Christ and Apostolic tradition, and he called upon the faithful to leave their former “museum piece” where “some groups of Christians give excessive importance to certain rules, customs or ways of acting.” (GE)

Clearly, this pope rode the crest of the Council, preaching its call “for the restoration of unity among all Christians” (UR- 1) and embracing its redefinition “One Universal Church” to mean the ecumenical body of world churches.

This movement toward unity is called ‘ecumenical’—the one visible Church of God, a Church truly universal. [Unitatis Redintegration 1]

The end result is that the Church in our time has lost its impetus and is not leaving its mark on the world as in previous times. If the West has been abandoned to the forces of darkness, it is because the one true Illuminating torch of the West that led the way through the ages—the Catholic Church—has forgotten its own divine light and has merged with secularism.

Sadly, we now see Pope Leo XIV continuing the legacy of Francis. The plague of LGBTQ ideology that Francis sowed among us is now being continued by Leo. Let us not forget how he and LGBTQ activist Fr. James Martin arranged for 1200 homosexual activists to enter the Vatican’s Holy Door on September 5-7, 2025, and have a special Mass said for them.

The solution to the present crisis is to return to the light of Apostolic Tradition, which is the Lumen Gentium that Christ bestowed upon man for his illumination and peace. Sorrowfully, many Catholics today have forgotten the Light of Christ through the influence of Vatican II.

Consequently, we now see the world abandoned to the darkness of error with little help offered by the clergy. The Blessed Virgin at La Salette prophesied the present debacle in 1846, when she said, “The Church will be in eclipse, the world will be in dismay.”

She also prophesied that

“Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of Antichrist”

Rome’s collusion with the Antichrist forces is evident by the mere fact that the Vatican today is abetting U.N. internationalists that are working around the clock to impose “climate action” and to subdue the nations under a borderless one-world government. Herein we see the Church flowing with the spirit of the age and not with the Spirit of God—a trend that was set in motion at Vatican II.

The key to rectifying the present disorder is to renounce the New Order of change and to “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Pope Benedict XVI accentuated this very point on April 30, 2011: “What was sacred for prior generations, remains sacred and great for us as well.” (Universae Ecclesia)

1. Bear in mind that Roca was not a lone wolf in saying this but was speaking the mind of all 33rd  degree Freemasons. At the time, there were a host of works wherein similar thoughts had been expressed. For example, the 1907 book titled, The Gospel of the Holy Spirit, John, Translation and Commentary, Abbé Melinge (better known by his pseudonym of "Dr. Alta").
