Antifa and BLM Burn Holy Bibles in Portland
Antifa and BLM rioters burn American Flags, Holy Bibles, and other books in Portland on July 31st (The Daily Wire)
PORTLAND, OREGON - After two months of continuous protests, riots, and violent clashes with law enforcement, Antifa and BLM members began burning Holy Bibles on Friday evening, July 31st.
The tension in Portland, which has been the center of socialist protests since 2016, has now evolved from an anti-establishment and anti-American agenda to anti-Western Civilization in its entirety. Burning American flags and Federal Court Buildings are no longer enough to get their point across.
A video posted to Twitter on Saturday shows rioters holding BLM signs throwing Holy Bibles into a large fire. “Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland,” wrote the Twitter user, Ian Miles Cheong, who posted the video.
Later in the Twitter thread, Cheong argued that the violent nature of these protesters is not correlated with “protesting against police brutality.”
“I don’t know what burning the [Holy] Bible has to do with protesting against police brutality. Do not be under the illusion that these protests and riots are anything but an attempt to dismantle all of Western Civilization and upend centuries of tradition and freedom of religion,” Cheong continued.
Donald Trump Jr. shared the video and criticized the escalation of violence and the true intentions of Antifa.
“Now we move to the book burning phase. I’m pretty sure ANTIFA doesn’t actually stand for what they say it stands for. Maybe just remove the anti part of [their] name and it’s perfect,” he wrote.
Such anti-Christian bigotry is being fueled by American politicians, who have remained silent and sometimes encouraged hateful rhetoric like BLM activist Shaun King's call to remove all statues and art of "White Jesus" and local governments' efforts to remove statues of Catholic Saints. The lack of coverage by the mainstream media on the vandalism of Churches and statues has been abhorrent.
Christianity and the written law of divine order is the particular mortar that held Western Civilization together through the centuries. Antifa wants to dismantle that glue, especially the Catholic Church, so that social order can be rearranged in accordance to their unproven and harmful ideology. Remember, these dissidents are descendants of the Barabbas.
