Four priests were made bishops during a ceremony in Écône, Switzerland, on July 1
On July 2, Vatican doctrinal chief Cardinal Victor Fernandez – known the world over for his manifest heresies and his LGBTQ advocacy – declared the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) and its priests to be excommunicated after two Society bishops consecrated four priests bishops without Vatican approval.
This is perhaps the most glaring act of hypocrisy ever seen in the Eternal City since it appears that Fernandez himself is self-excommunicated because of his erroneous teachings and his pornographic writings. He certainly is no pastor or minister of God. He is the author of that polluted 2023 Vatican document Fiducia Supplicans that advocates the priestly blessing of homosexual couples.
The Excommunication was Only an Excuse
We should understand that the excommunication really had nothing to do with the consecration of bishops but had everything to do with the Society’s exclusive celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass since the consecration of new bishops enables them to ordain new priests to say the old Mass. This infuriates the Vatican; this is the whole issue. Leo and his Vatican haven’t ceased to oppress the Latin Mass as we see priests being persecuted and sidelined for offering the old Mass. The consecration of bishops was only used as a loophole to try to hang the Society with – an excuse.
Punishing Heat Wave in Rome
And how interesting to note that on July 2, the day of the excommunication, Rome hit its highest temperature on record with a sweltering 104 degrees! And more of this is expected. Is Rome getting punished for harassing the SSPX?
The excommunication completely lacks validity. The keys of Rome cannot be used as a handgun to shoot down holy tradition. Leo repeatedly says that ‘God never supports war’ yet he is warring against the very center piece of our Faith. Deliberately intending to place Latin Mass priests in schism is a deliberate attempt to make war against the Latin Mass. It’s the old Mass that Neo Rome has tried to “excommunicate.” How can a depraved animal and pervert like Fernandez have the power to declare an excommunication?
Some might argue that Leo allows the Latin Mass, but to that we say, “Oh really?” Allowing episcopal bullies like Cardinal McElroy to defrock priests for offering the Traditional Mass isn’t exactly supportive of the old Mass. Just recently McElroy sidelined a priest for saying the Latin Mass, and where was Leo to defend him?
From the beginning Leo has had the SSPX and the Latin Mass on a list for extinction while heretics, homosexuals, feminists, Protestants, and Muslims are on his favorites list. These groupings are schismatic, yet Leo doesn’t declare them as such, nor does he do the least thing to extend to them the jewels of the Catholic Faith. Instead, he praises them and calls them ‘paths to God’ while punishing a group that has far more union with the Church of Rome than he or his cardinals do.
On that note we cannot deny that there are a number of good bishops that are getting on the band wagon to help revive Catholic tradition. Rome’s action against the SSPX might even help spike this move.
For this we pray.
