Pope Leo XIV will not Continue Francis’ Legacy

Many are not aware of it, but Pope Leo XIV as a cardinal was at odds with Pope Francis. There were tensions, which obviously stemmed from a sharp difference in attitude toward the Church and world. Cardinal Prevost was anti-communist, anti-LGBT, and against the idea of being absorbed with the world, while Francis constantly surrounded himself with communists and homosexuals and was one with the world. Leo XIV says that our "common home" is heaven while Francis said our "common home" is earth.

That Pope Leo has a mind to expose the evils of Communism is evident by his own words.

“Communism has penetrated even Christian circles disguised as solidarity. It is our pastoral duty to expose it.” (Pope Leo XIV)

The new pope opposes woke gender ideology, saying that “It seeks to create genders that don’t exist.” He criticizes the media and cultural trends for fostering “sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the Gospel,” especially the “homosexual lifestyle” and “same-sex partners with adopted children.” Accordingly, he fully adheres to the traditional Church teaching of marriage being between one man and one woman.

Pope Leo also shows signs of wanting to bring about a liturgical reform. Cardinal Prevost through the years said the Traditional Latin Mass, which Francis warred against with all his might. On May 12, Newsmax reported:

“Several Vatican sources have indicated that Leo will soon lift restrictions on the Latin Mass.”

For obvious reasons, Pope Leo XIV has no intention of carrying forward the legacy of Francis. His calling rather is to continue the legacy of Christ as the previous popes did, save Francis.

Francis Dismissed Doctrinal Absolutes

A key problem with Francis was his contempt for divinely instituted absolutes, which is the predominant attitude of the modernists. Modernists deny doctrinal absolutes and promote the idea that whatever the Church holds to at any point of its history is the result of a 'common consensus' among the bishops, so that as the consensus of the bishops changes the magisterial teachings change with it. That idea is condemned; Pope Pius X took the ax to it long ago.

Errant prelates hold to this only because they seek to construct their own counter-magisterium. Francis unfortunately was among them. It is hoped that Pope Leo will repudiate him in time lest the Church continue to be polluted with his errors. This would show true mercy and pastoral care for God’s people.

We should not dismiss the possibility that Pope Leo XIV might be "Peter the Roman" who will restore all things. Unfortunately, Francis' Masonic connections have nigh brought the Church to complete destruction, but God has raised up Leo XIV to bring the Church back up to code and more.

Providential Timing

Note that Cardinal Prevost was made pope on May 8, the Feast of the apparition of St. Michael on Mt. Gargano, Italy, which seems to signify that he will spearhead the cause of St. Michael to expel Satan from the Church. This was the cause of Pope Leo XIII, the composer of the famous St. Michael prayer, after whom Leo XIV named himself.

The Third Secret of Fatima stated that Satan would capture cardinals at the highest levels of the Church and would use them to misguide the Church but in such a way that this would be done under the illusion of divine guidance. What many would call the Holy Spirit guiding the Church to a glorious renewal would in fact be the devil goading the Church to its own destruction. This was the coming "diabolical disorientation" spoken of by Sr. Lucy of Fatima. The Church today is in a state of delusion. People can't seem to get their spirits straight, but Leo XIV will clarify things.

May 8 is also the Feast of Our Lady Mediatrix of all Graces. Francis publicly rejected Mary’s role as Mediatrix of all Grace, but hopefully Leo XIV will correct this error. Maybe he will even define this truth dogmatically! This would greatly encourage the Church and even those outside the Church. It would be a great pastoral move for the world.
