Vatican II and the Third Secret of Fatima

October 13, 1962, was a significant day in Church history for on that day Vatican II modernists set in motion their plan to derail the Catholic Church and introduce a new Mass. This conciliar upheaval was foretold in the Third Secret of Fatima. In 1990 Cardinal Ratzinger (later Benedict XVI) even told St. Padre Pio’s close friend Father Ingo Dollinger that the Third Secret spoke of a “bad council” and “bad Mass” to come.

This ties with one of the revelations of the Bayside apparitions (1970-1995) wherein Christ told the late seer Veronica of the Cross:

“On that date, as promised at Fatima, satan entered My Church upon earth. He brought with him his agents – and satan himself, the deceiver of all mankind – sat in on Vatican II and maneuvered all the outsiders to come in and distort My doctrines and distort the truth.” (June 18, 1986)

Significance of the Date

“That date” presumably was October 13, 1962, which happened to be the 45^th Anniversary of the Virgin Mary’s last apparition at Fatima! “On that date” a crucial vote was to be taken to determine the members of the conciliar drafting commissions who would interpret the Council and draft its documents. A slate of 168 candidates had been drawn up for the vote, all of whom were worthy and approved by the pope, but Vatican rebels quickly interfered with the vote in an attempt to hijack the commissions.

At the center of this coup to overthrow Vatican II were Cardinals Alfrink, Frings, and Liénart of the Rhine Alliance. During a speech on October 13, Liénart grabbed the microphone and demanded that the slate of 168 candidates be discarded and that a new slate of candidates be drawn up. Their reason for blocking the vote was because John XXIII had not conferred with them about the candidates he selected and because he was too ‘old fashioned’ for them.

Liénart’s uncanny gesture was heeded by the Council and the election was postponed. His action deflected the course of the Council and was hailed a victory in the press (Fr. Ralph Wiltgen, The Rhine Flows into the Tiber).

In his February 14, 2013 address to the clergy of Rome, Pope Benedict XVI brilliantly recounts this coup d’ etat at Vatican II.

“On the programme for this first day 1 were the elections of the Commissions, and lists of names had been prepared, in what was intended to be an impartial manner, and these lists were put to the vote. But right away the Fathers said: ‘No, we do not simply want to vote for pre-prepared lists. We are the subject.’ Then, it was necessary to postpone the elections, because the Fathers themselves…wanted to prepare the lists themselves.

“And so, it was. Cardinal Liénart of Lille [a suspected Freemason] and Cardinal Frings of Cologne had said publicly: no, not this way. We want to make our own lists and elect our own candidates.”

After illicitly blocking the vote, this rebellious “Rhine group” force-installed several of their own members onto the commissions so that nearly sixty percent of the commissions were now chaired by “suspect theologians” that previously had been restricted under Pius XII. These would include dissenters like Hans Kung and the pseudo-mystic Karl Rahner, the Council darling, who for the entirety of Vatican II was dating the notorious feminist Luise Rinser who had clamored for abortion and women priests. The enemies of the Faith had captured the key positions of the Council, thus enabling them to draft perfidious documents for the misguiding of the Church, i.e. the 16 documents of Vatican II.

Prior to the Council Pope John XXIII and his best men had prepared the 72 schemata which was the approved syllabus that was supposed to guide the Council. According to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who had been appointed to the Central Preparatory Committee for checking all these documents, the 72 schemas were worthy and should have been used but to his dismay the Rhine fathers illicitly rejected Pope John’s outline after it had been approved by a 40% vote.

Consider Lefebvre’s words:

“From the very first days, the Council was besieged by the progressive forces. We experienced it, felt it… We had the impression that something abnormal was happening and this impression was rapidly confirmed; fifteen days after the opening session not one of the seventy-two schemas remained. All had been sent back, rejected, thrown into the waste-paper basket. The immense work that had been found accomplished was scrapped and the assembly found itself empty-handed, with nothing ready…. Yet that is how the Council commenced.”  (Archbishop Lefebvre, Open Letter to Confused Catholics)

This vituperative counter-council that warred against the true Council was fueled by a coalition of periti that were Communistic in orientation. One such agent who participated at the Second Vatican Council expressed his horror over the good schemas of John XXIII.

“Hearing that Pope John had appointed a commission to draw the schemas for the forthcoming Council, I immediately started to work on counter-schemas with the help of avant-garde theologians (Rhine fathers) who had been won over to our way of thinking. Thanks to my contacts I managed to obtain copies of the projected papal schemas: they were terrible! I was in a cold sweat! If these schemas are carried, my work of 20 years will have been in vain. I hastily put the finishing touch to my counter-schemas, and I circulated them. Eventually, they were tabled at the Council.” (Marie Carré, AA 1025, Memoirs of an Anti-Apostle)

Professor Romano Amerio who had worked with Pope John in drafting the 72 schemas summed up the situation perfectly.

“A distinctive feature of Vatican II is its paradoxical outcome, by which all the preparatory work that usually directs the debates, marks the outlook and foreshadows the results of a council, was nullified and rejected from the first session onward.”

Hence it is conceivable that the Council from that point—on account of the two violations against its legal framework—had gone from being a valid council to a revolution. The fruits of the Council certainly suggest this. The Church today is hardly recognizable as Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic and we can thank Vatican II for that. Yea, Rome today has become the stronghold of God’s enemies.

The Bugnini Draft

It is important to point out that in addition to the 72 schemas of John XXIII there was an additional schema that was smuggled into the Council during its opening session, and that was the schema on the New Mass that had been composed by the Masonic Monsignor Annibale Bugnini who chaired the 1960 Preparatory Commission on the Liturgy. The Commission had been set up as the think-tank for the new Mass. With Bugnini’s position and reputation as a liturgist, he was able to recruit dissident theologians to his side, whereupon they together drafted what had come to be known as the "Bugnini Draft" for the New Mass. The schema was approved before Pope John even knew of it (February 1962) and sixteen months before Paul VI was elected pope on June 9, 1963.

Hence the schema on “Pope Paul’s New Mass” was completed long before Pope Paul even entered into the picture. 2 Vatican II rebels later pushed the new Mass on him and somehow convinced him that this would fulfill all his dreams to revive the Faith that had already begun to die out in the late 50s. For the future pope was grieved over the lack of reverence priests were showing toward the Mass and over the fact that the Church more and more was welcoming materialism, secularism, evolution, and women’s [reproductive] rights. His foes knew he was desperate for a solution that would fix the problem, so they rang his ears with false promises. Initially, he believed that the New Mass and changes were God’s plan to revive the Church only to realize later that he had been deceived.

The pope eventually saw the light and lamented the outcome of Vatican II at its close, saying, “Profane and secular humanism has revealed itself in its terrible, anticlerical stature, and in one sense has defied the Council. The religion of God made man has met the religion of man who makes himself God.” (December 7, 1965)

In speaking to the Church about Vatican II on June 9, 1972, Pope Paul then declared to the world:

“From some fissure the smoke of Satan entered into the temple of God.”

1. That is, the first working day when the First General Congregation met, which was October 13, 1962. The Council itself opened on October 11.

2. Note too that the schema on the New Mass was already completed before Vatican II even convened. The upcoming Council would only serve to push it through.
