Defeat Modernism! 54 Day Holy Rosary Novena

"Whoever desires to obtain favors from Me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving." – Promise of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary

Purpose: Beseech the Blessed Virgin Mary, and all of the Angels and Saints, to pray and intercede for us through the Sacred Heart of Jesus to protect us from the devil and to defeat modernism, the synthesis of all heresies, in the domestic church (the family), the parish, and society at large.

Structure: Pray 5 decades of the Holy Rosary daily for three novenas, each being 9 days (hence, the 27 days), in petition for protection, prayer, and intercession. The final three novenas, the following 27 days, will be intentions of thanksgiving.

- The Nativity (...to model my family after the Holy Family)

- The Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple (...to consecrate the family to the Church)

The Holy Rosary:

IN the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

IN nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

Special Intention for penance and reparation for my sins; the conversion of my soul, and the conversion of all souls; for God to protect us from the devil and defeat modernism, the synthesis of all heresies; and, may all the angels and saints, and my guardian angel, pray with me through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Apostles Creed: I BELIEVE in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam catholicam, sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.

OUR FATHER, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Let us pray. O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with mercy upon the people who cry to Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Saint Joseph her spouse, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the saints, in Thy mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of the Holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Salve, Regina, mater misericordiae; vita, dulcedo et spes nostra, salve. Ad te clamamus exsules filii Hevae. Ad te suspiramus gementes et flentes in hac lacrimarum valle.
