Discerning the True Pentecost from the ‘New Pentecost‘ of our Time

The descent of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost
Since Vatican II, there has been much confusion about the Holy Spirit in that the so-called renewal since the Council has been falsely attributed to God. What they call the New Pentecost in reality is a new order of darkness that grew out of the Council, which in turn spawned various aberrations.
A perfect example of this is the so-called Charismatic Movement, a diabolical sect wherein the devil presents himself as the Holy Spirit for the purpose of luring Catholics away from the institutionalized Church. The speaking in tongues associated with this movement is a sham. After Pentecost, the Apostles were not crying, dancing, clapping hands, or rolling on the floor. The miracle of speaking in tongues at Pentecost was that the Apostles under inspiration spoke intelligibly in their own tongue while those who came from round and about each heard them speaking in their own tongue. (Acts 2:1-11) And in this consisted the miracle of the tongues.
In the Acts of the Apostles, we read:
“And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak. Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
“And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue. And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans? And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born?” (Acts 2: 1-8)
Clearly, we see that the Apostles at Pentecost all spoke in their own native tongue, intelligibly, and fluently. They didn’t engage in the mindless babbling that we hear today. The Charismatics call upon "the spirit," but they are calling down demons. Rolling on the floor and foaming at the mouth are manifestations of the devil, not the Holy Spirit.
America’s Top Exorcist Speaks
America’s top exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger has gone on record as saying, "The worst case of possession that I ever had was a woman who asked for the ‘gift’ of tongues and she got it."
Fr. Ripperger describes the so-called speaking in tongues as “a speech pattern, an authentic pattern of speech—there's speech coming out, language coming out of the person's mouth and they don't know what they're saying." He says, “There's a name for that, [it’s] called channeling. It's where you open yourself up to let the 'spirits' speak through you." Hence this speaking in tongues is really a form of demonic possession. Fr. Ripperger makes it clear that Satan is the moving spirit behind the Charismatic Movement. “I cannot tell you how many people I had to clean up from the charismatic renewal.”
Fake Renewal Since Vatican II
The Charismatic Movement is an eccentric form of the more general “renewal” we have seen since Vatican II, which of course is not a renewal. The various renew programs and the ensuing trends of change and ecumenical oneness all speak of a new religion not connected with the Apostles, yet people attribute this to the Holy Spirit. In Protestant fashion, they quote Scripture and praise the work of the Spirit, and they celebrate Pentecost as if this was their day, but to these hypocrites Christ will also say:
“Search the scriptures, for you think in them to have life everlasting; and the same are they that give testimony of me.” (John 5: 39)
That is:
'You imagine that the scriptures support your new-found religion of man and your whimsical fling in ‘the spirit,’ when the same are they that refer to me and My Holy Catholic Church with its 2000 years of popes, encyclicals, bulls, and all its doctrines and sacred traditions that you now reject in the name of the Holy Spirit.’
Diabolical Disorientation
We today are truly witnessing the “diabolical disorientation” spoken of by Sr. Lucy of Fatima who received and penned the Fatima Third Secret under the direct guidance of the Virgin Mary, the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. The Third Secret in gist was that Satan would capture and possess cardinals at the highest levels of the Church and would use them to misguide the Church but in such a way that this would be done under the illusion of divine guidance. What they would call the Holy Spirit would in fact be the devil goading the Church to its own destruction.
And this is what we are seeing today. Satan sat in on Vatican II and set in motion this new order of change that we see coming to a head now under Pope Francis. The present trends of ecology, one-world unity, ecumenism, and LGBT “inclusion” along with Rome’s present attempts to abolish the Latin Mass are all the work of Satan to destroy the One True Church.
True Work of the Holy Spirit
On the flip side, the present efforts of tradition-minded Catholics to revive the Faith and return to holy tradition reflect the true work of the Holy Spirit to renew the Church. The Holy Spirit seemed to rubber-stamp this when it was discovered that Sr. Wilhelmina, a Benedictine nun and foundress of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of the Apostles who died four years ago was found to be incorrupt with no decomposition of her body upon being exhumed on April 28, 2023. Sr. Wilhelmina was devoted exclusively to the Traditional Latin Mass and emphasized the need to return to pre-Vatican II practice, so clearly her purity of faith had everything to do with this extraordinary favor that was conferred on her by the Holy Spirit.
We have a similar story with St. Padre Pio, the mystic priest who bore the wounds of Christ in his body for over 50 years. He denounced the novel “reform” of Vatican II and wasn’t the least influenced by its odious drift, and he too now lies incorrupt in Rome with no decomposition of his corporal being. God doesn’t confer these gifts on modernists and worldlings but on those who keep themselves “unspotted from this world.” (James 1: 27)
Another example of a saintly soul vested with great gifts of the Holy Spirit was St. Pope Pius V (1504-1572), who miraculously defeated the Ottoman Turks in 1571 through his Rosary crusade (Battle of Lepanto), whereby he prevented the Muslim invasion of Europe. St. Pius is well known for overseeing history’s final revision of the Roman Liturgy and for issuing his superlative papal bull Quo Primum (1570), wherein he mandated the perpetual offering of the Traditional Latin Mass and *warned that anyone of the future who would attempt to modify the formula of Holy Mass would “incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul.”
The Marian Apparitions
Another manifestation of the Holy Spirit have been the Marian apparitions of Church history, which include those of Fatima, Lourdes, La Salette, Garabandal, and others. The authentic visitations will almost always warn of impending punishments from God if conditions aren’t met and will call for amends and reparation in the form of penance, sacrifice, and prayer to avert the hand of divine justice. False apparitions on the other hand will always expose their deception by their insidious attempts to pacify the faithful with false hopes of peace and joy without penance on the false grounds that ‘God accepts us as we are.’ Fake visitations like Medjugorje fall into this category.
Hence, we see two spirits at work today in the Church, the devil and the Holy Spirit. This ties with the prophetic statement made by the future Pope John Paul II toward the end of his 6-week visit to the U.S. in late summer 1976. He said:
“We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of divine Providence; it is a trial which the whole Church… must take up.”
* St. Pius here was speaking more by way of prophecy than by command, being the mystic he was, since God had instructed him thus. Like Moses who crashed the tablets at the feet of the people, St. Pius was likewise upholding the Law of God before the people knowing beforehand that this was an eternal warning to be heeded by all generations to come.
